Speaking of designer-designed uniforms, I just did a little research into the sportingly chic Team USA Olympic uniform and guess whose name came up? Only the king of classic American prep, Ralph Lauren. Lauren designed the uniform with 1930s American style in mind, and the pieces hark back to Jesse Owens' hey day – driving hats, white slacks and navy blazers embroidered with white Olympic rings.
Oh and if you were wondering about Team New Zealand, all you need to know is they were wearing Crocs. When will one of our top designers take control!?
