#170 Cybele

I just finished watching Cybele's show. The winner of last night's Air New Zealand Export Growth Award didn't disappoint. Intensely loud, electro music and the heat of the tent put me in a kind of trance. Bird inspired dresses, feathery eye makeup and abundant hues of blue and yellow made me feel like I was in a bushy jungle or rainforest. As always, Cybele played the pretty card, with vast amounts of shiny satin, sheer fabrics, and floaty dresses with wide open sleeves (resembling the wings of a bird).

My one niggle was a pair of Mission Impossible-esque sunglasses, an unusual styling tool but most probably a result of Cybele's Sunglass Hut sponsorship.

I give the thumbs up to the models who all managed to survive the cat walk in the killer heels they wore, so there were no Abbey Lee moments. We're yet to even see a small slip!
James Dobson aka Jimmy D gave some big ups to the collection: "it was really good, really strong."
