Some people say that Deborah Sweeney has a similar style to Karen Walker, but I'm not convinced. The forest inspired collection, Shadow Play, was eclectic and dramatic, but not quite as creative or fun as something Karen Walker would come up with.
The show opened with music reminiscent of the Jungle Book which morphed into Bloc Party AND started Isaac singing next to me - he's badly behaved like that - and cued the models to start strutting out. Silks, cable knits and acid washed fabrics found shape in the form of overalls, cardigans and tee shirts emblazoned with a bogan wolf print - Westy-chic is big this year, just wait for Lonely Hearts.
My favourite pieces were the cable knit cardigans, especially in the burnt yellow.
A quick note though, be careful underneath the lights - one blew during the show. Beware of flying glass debris!
