Well she disappeared for a while, but New Zealand's fastest rising girl du jour Olivia O'Driscoll has hit newsstands with an editorial out now in the March edition of Australian Vogue. The two-girl-shoot, shared with Australia's Next Top Model winner Alice Burdeu, is set in what looks to be the garden of a stately home. Flowers abound in each shot, and they're not limited to the backdrop. O'Driscoll's outfits each appear to have a floral theme, and in one shot (above), her printed trench coat blends in like army camouflage (dainty, lady-like army camouflage) with the rose bush behind her.

According to the Nova website O'Driscoll is in Japan for the next month, heading back to NZ in March, which suggests that she'll be skipping the upcoming season of shows. Pity, we could do with another New Zealander over there, it'd bring our total up to four.

Either way, it's exciting to see a New Zealand girl getting some headway. I'm still looking forward to seeing her first major outing on the international catwalk, perhaps Prada will come knocking next season?

It's easy to fool the general public in NZ, but the signs are there if you know how to read them,
Olivia totally bombed last show season booking only one show after doing the rounds of all the designers, that is why she is not being put up for shows this season by her agency, she is probably being sent to japan to pay of the debt she would have accrued in Europe by not living up to the agency's expectations, and the agency, IMG, have moved on to new fodder, hoping they will do better, Georgia Fowler has a showcard, as you already mentioned, and has been superbly developed by her NZ agency, Clyne, so that she goes to New York when she is ready, I hope she does well and will be watching to see what she books.
You have missed one girl out though, (even though she is not fully a kiwi, so that is understandable), Stella Maxwell (mother agency Ali McD in Dunedin), has a showcard with Trump and with her look very directional this season, I predict that she will do the best of the "kiwis" in New York, though I believe that Michael, also developed nicely by Clyne Auckland, will do very well in the male stakes, he has a great personality. I wish them all the best of luck on this grand adventure!
Meanwhile she's doing a sterling job back here in NZ with a cover shoot in Sunday magazine and a vintage shoot in Metro. It's good to see the local editors embracing her while she's here. Remember Gemma Ward on the cover of 'Style' when Stacy Gregg was editor?

Without identifying yourself it is impossible to know whether you're somebody objective with an opinion, or someone with a vested interest in making Olivia O'Driscoll look bad.
Nova have chosen not to respond to my queries as to whether or not Olivia will be present at the European shows, but that doesn't necessarily suggest that she won't be there.
Also, without having spoken to Olivia O'Driscoll or Nova first hand, there is no proof that she "bombed" last season and is currently in Japan to pay off debt accrued in Europe. There may have been honest reasons behind her not appearing in more shows. Or there might not have been, but who's to say without proof?
It is however true that she only showed up in one show last season - Yohji Yamamoto.
As for Stella Maxwell, if you look at that blog post again you will see that I updated it on the 9th to include her.
I think that's a pretty sour comment to say that a girl "bombed" after modeling for Yohji, and has just landed a spread in Australian Vogue.
It's tough for those girls fighting for a spot amongst the A++ models in the northern hemisphere, but give her credit where it's due.
Good luck to Georgia and the new breed overseas.
Isaac, I have nothing whatsoever against Olivia,by NZ standards she has done well, I was only pointing out the ridiculousness of your title, (Australia's Next Top Model), Alice Burdeu has two Vogue covers to her name , has the Sonia Rykiel and blumarine Cruise campaigns this season and walked about 20 great shows last season, including Marc Jacobs, and she is sitting out NY fashion Week, there are so many models that have done amazingly well in Australia, Sarah Stephens has edits in Italian Vogue, Russian Vogue and many more, walked a lot of great shows, has a Lacoste fragrance campaign, walked Victoria's Secret etc etc, Myf Shepherd, walked everything including Prada and Miumiu, has the Miumiu, Superfine and Levis jeans campaigns and they still don't have that title, that would go to either Abbey Lee, catherine Mcneill who would be next after Gemma.
Even in NZ terms she pales next to Katie Braadvedt walked (from memory) at least 7 shows in New York fall 08 inluding Isaac Mizrahi, three as Four and she closed Dianne Von Furstenburg!
She had a shu uemura campaign cosmetics as well as a twin Set campaign and the COVER of Vogue Australia.
Now that is considered having a decent season.
Olivia has done well for a kiwi girl, I'm just putting it in perspective, Nicole Clulee also had a couple of shows last season in New York and will be up for European shows again. Olivia will not be. Her agency website clearly states that she will be in Japan while shows are on, no confirmation needed.
Forget Stella Maxwell, Olivia O'Driscoll face has "cosmetic contract" written all over it. Her beauty is a rare find indeed. From a fashionista who has been buying fashion magazines for nearly 25 years!
I know this is an old post, but I've just read it. I believe Olivia only did one show as she was on hold for Prada/Mui Mui exclusive in Milan, but was dropped at the last minute, thus leaving her with no shows... I may be wrong but thats the rumour I heard. Either way she has been producing great print editorials lately and I believe she will be showing up at S/S shows in a few months... hopefully as Isaac said Prada will come calling.
