I'm always saying how much of a sucker I am for girls who dress like boys, so I was lapping up the new Balmain Fall 09/10 collection when an image of male model Cole Mohr in Dior Homme Fall 07/08 (Hedi Slimane's last season with the brand) came to mind... Tightly tailored jackets with strong shoulders over flowing undershirts and loose harem pants tucked into boots. Not unlike the latest Balmain collection, am I right?
I went back to the Dior Homme collection to see if my suspicions could be confirmed and I pulled out some looks to compare (below).

I think both collections put together would be THE best wardrobe EVER.
Yeah I'm with ya.. That dude over at In My Paradigm has been calling Balmain 'Dior Homme for women' for awhile now.
Can't wait to see what Chritophe Decarnin comes up with when he starts doing menswear.
