#361 Georgia Fowler Live and FEROSH in Times Square

Diet Coke Style Series screengrab

Remember Christian Siriano? If not (where have you been?), he was the pint sized winner of the fourth series of Project Runway, and the guy responsible for bringing "Fierce", "Ferosh" and "Hot Tranny Mess" into the common vernacular. I use all three religiously, don't you? Yeah you do, you Hot Tranny Mess. Siriano and his latest collection were profiled during New York Fashion Week on a Diet Coke Style Series webisode, featuring the Ferosh Georgia Fowler modelling his Fierce dresses. I remained blissfully unaware of Diet Coke's Style Series and the Christian Siriano webisode (I know, where have I been?) until a lovely young lady named Melissa sent me an email alert this morning.

(Full video after the jump.)

Judging by the video itself, the webisode looks to have been filmed and projected live onto the bigscreens in Times Square. And I might be nationalistically biased, but in my humble opinion, Georgia Fowler steals the show.

Thanks for the heads up Melissa!

Get a Grip!!! shes amazing...to walk a european runway you need to be a size 4-6...thats why hardly any kiwi girls make it because we're too PC and too fat...you wouldnt get that in the eastern block countries they do whatever it takes which is why they lead the supermodel boards...herewe're too tall poppy in the industry and it even goes across to sport as well...to get gold you have to be a freak in your field, with modelling it means tall and thin!

I know her personally and she has NEVER been this thin...so either a) her thinness is induced or b) something miraculous has happenned to her metabolism, but I go with A. "a" for anorexic.

I don't think you know her personally to say something like that. Georgia is doing really well for herself and people should just accept that being thin is apart of the modeling industry and support a New Zealand talent rather than beat her down.

It is true that being thin is part of the reality of being a model. But in New Zealand girls upwards of size 10 can work regularly and be quite successful.

This is not the case overseas, where, as one of the anonymous' said, there are countless Eastern European girls willing to lose all the weight in the world in order to work.

That said, it's also very true that it's difficult to get to that tiny weight without severe dieting.

I don't personally know Georgia so can't say if she's naturally thin or if she's lost a lot of weight recently.

I also don't know if the people commenting against her have a vested interest in saying nasty things. So from now on I won't be accepting comments from people about her weight unless they're commenting under a valid name.

I think she is doing amazingly well!! I am so proud of her and I don't even know her. She is the best hope NZ has of a model at actually making it! I don't care what anyone else says about any other talent in NZ. She IS the best.
And reality of the situation is you have to be thin.

To be honest I neither no Georgia, however I will say this. She is pretty, there is no doubt about that, however she is rather commercial in appearance and I am not sure whether that is the look they are after in high profile advertisements, etc. That said, the best of luck to her in modeling. :)

I am her sister. She eats. She has always been very thin. Launching an international modelling career will inevitably be accompanied by some jitters which caused some weight loss (most of which has been regained) in anticpation of the harsh competition abroad. She does not however, and never has had, an eating disorder. She travels full time with my mother who, take my word for it, does not miss a beat.
And remember she is only 16..puberty has yet to run its full course! Meanwhile, she is making full use of those gangly limbs of hers and doing damn well for herself. Well done to her! She is a great kid who deserves success not slights. Tall poppy? Hell yes. Pick on someone your own size choppers..all jokes aside that is.
