Uniqlo is the best chain-store ever. Three floors of the cheapest most amazing basics. It's like H&M but a billion times better. I bought a few things today (see below) - three pairs of beige socks, blackwatch check shorts, two plain tee shirts (one white, one grey) and the navy cashmere sweater pictured above - the first cashmere thing I've ever owned. All up I spent $129.95. So good! If I look exhausted, blame it on the jetlag and two 4am nights out. I'm so tired. But so happy to be here. New York is warm and balmy and the best city in the world. Tonight I'm going upstate to Westchester to stay with Patrick and Edith. I'll blog again from there.

You dress like a single dad.
Best in the world? Big call, Isaac!
Anon - best call of the day.
Leonie - huge call I know, so let me revise. I think Uniqlo is the best of the big chain stores - it slays H&M and Top Shop.
Buying things makes you a better person
