#794 Wonderland's Scarecrow homage to Number (N)ine

Growing up my sister and I used to watch The Wizard of OZ over and over again at our Nana's house. My favourite character was the Scarecrow, and my favourite line was always the bit when Dorothy tells him "I'm going to miss you the most". The amount of times I've said that to people over the years hoping they'll get the reference is approximately 85. The amount of times people have gotten the reference is zero. So sad. I just saw this editorial over at Knight cat and it immediately reminded me of Number (N)ine's final show, A Closed Feeling which took place in Paris in January. It was very scarecrow inspired. When I saw it at the time I really didn't get it, but now, looking at it again I think it's so beautiful. Number (N)ine sent a letter out to all stockists and press on 20 February this year announcing they were closing the company. The reason? "When you're finished changing, you're finished." So simple, so Japanese. Insert Dorothy's quote here.
