Buffalo jacketHold the fricken gates. I am officially obsessed. Zambesi's new winter collection is like the Jezebel of clothing - luring me over to the dark side of poverty and promiscuous behaviour. Maybe not the promiscuous behaviour so much, but poverty for damn sure. And it's funny, because Zambesi is one of those labels that I've always appreciated from afar, but never actually bought. Up until three weeks ago, I had never owned a single piece of Zambesi. This is of course due largely to its inaccessibility to my wallet, but I've always felt that the dark, moody nature of the label didn't really fit in with my wardrobe aesthetic. Everything's changed. Let me break it down. First of all, the baseball jacket (above). Encyclopedia Brown-chic.
Then...
Buffalo jacket/Michigan sweaterThe heavy knit, turquoise turtle neck sweater. Just the ticket for a fruity fisherman.
Wyoming sweaterAnd his shawl collared shipmate.
Newport shirtThe only shirts I want to wear right now are a little bit oversized and made from really light, patterned cloths (this one is cotton/silk). The almost weightless fabric falls perfectly when tucked in, and billows when you move in the wind or when you walk.
Buffalo jacketBut especially the baseball jacket. OBSESSED!
I LIKE YOU!

I absolutley love Zambesi. I dont own any myself becuse I dont have the money. But I have always loved going a looking in the shop and looking at the bold black clothes. At first I didnt ever go into Zambesi becuse I didint understand it and when I started to I used to breifily let my eyes wander along the clothes and couldnt make head or tail of what the clothing was or where to put it. I think alot of people dont shop in zambesi because they dont understand it to. Once I found the time to actualy look at each individual piece that caught my eye, I learned to appreciate it. And I finaly understood it. Zambesi has helped me to also relise that wearing all black isint nessisarily goth, if you wear it the right way. I also love the Gareth Pugh clothes in there at the moment.
I used to dress my clients at my old job in Zambesi, its unique and crazy enough that you don't get lost in a sea of boring black. Which can happen often in Melbourne! Yay for the new collection!
