Designers wishing to pick up serious international wholesale accounts can choose from three options – hold a presentation or show at one of the big fashion weeks, participate in the trade fairs, or set up their own showroom in a major city. Zambesi chose the latter, and set up in Paris. For the past week and a half their sales agents Robinson Pfeffer have been taking prospective buyers through the spring 2011 menswear collection (recently shown in Sydney). In the past six days, 22 buyers have seen the collection, representing stores like Colette, Barneys, Normann Copenhagen and Shine Hong Kong.

According to designer Dayne Johnston, "It's been a great buzz showing Zambesi Man in a showroom in one of my favorite cities in the world. We have had some of the top buyers through and I love hearing the feedback on what we are doing. Coming from humble New Zealand to the world stage keeps me going and challenges me to always do better work. I was happy to hear today that we have a possible four new accounts from showing the men's collection here. We need to up the profile of Zambesi in this hemisphere and that's what we are working on – it's a slow build but worth every effort once you can see results."
