#1377 Little Brother goes nautical for summer

Photos: Karen Inderbitzen Waller

Remember the Close Up interview with Michael Whittaker that aired back in April? Part of it was shot on set at the Little Brother Summer 2010 lookbook shoot, and now, three months later, here are the photos. Heavy on American and nautical influences like breton tees, blue blazers and Nantucket Red shorts, the collection is casual and relaxed like an afternoon on a sailing ship. Don't forget your dock shoes. The range also features several pieces that have eluded the New Zealand man for quite some time now – the chambray shirt, the slim fitting short sleeve shirt and, most importantly, a pair of swimming trunks that don't end below the knee. The full collection will be available in-store and online at Barkers from September. Soon to come – the announcement of a collaboration that is of particular importance to me. Spoiler: there are beige pants and oxford shirts involved.

All the photos, below.

country road actually make some slick stuff. i think this is amazing for Barkers. very clean simple and refreshing, just like the international collections are reflecting right now. less is more these days with all the crap that is out there. i like.

Hey Isaac. Kind of reminds me of the new I Love Ugly summer range, but not as "intelligent". Cool range though for a mass produced label.

The nautical t-shirt looks remarkably similar to one I bought from Karen Walker for my wife earlier this year.

I like it nevertheless...and it'll look sweet under my Gubb & Mackie epaulet jacket.

Any idea where the model's shoes are from?

Do you know how much the red shorts and breton tee are going to be retailing for Isaac?

Michael Whittaker (is he related to the chocolate dudes?) would look good in a hessian coffee sack. I'd like to see these draped of Isaac and see if they still look good.

Some knobbly knees should just be heard and not seen.
