#1471 Band of Outsiders X Sperry – in the flesh/on the feet

File this one under random hookups of the non-sexual variety. You may remember a number of weeks ago I blogged about the new Band of Outsiders X Sperry collab, which, like I said at the time, is most definitely my jam. A couple of days after writing that post, I got a question over on Ask Isaac Likes asking me if I'd prefer a pair of the corduroy Sperrys or these Mark McNairy longwings. I said the McNairys, but if I could have both, I would have both. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I get an email from the same guy saying that his company has manufactured Sperry for decades and that they want to send me a pair. Thinking it was too good to be true, I gave him my shoe size and a friend's address (better they get robbed than me), and forgot all about it. And waddaya know – they turned up in the weekend. The gentleman who sent them is named Jimmy, apparently his company has factories in just about every country of the world, and he has just moved to New Zealand to open up a new menswear store named Loft in Botany Downs (but sadly, as far as I know, these shoes will not be available there). Crazytown! Ayyam-i-Ha came early this year. Special thanks to Jimmy!
