#1971 Blog talk with Gala Darling

For the second time in two weeks, I had the privilege of meeting up with famed blogger, expat Kiwi and radical self-love warrior Gala Darling; and, for the second time in two weeks, she paid for lunch (turns out my bank only just realised I was overseas and decided to put a block on my account – not embarrassing at all, thanks team). Gala is one of the few bloggers worldwide who has managed to carve out a respectable career for herself thanks to her huge online presence and attractiveness to big brands looking for co-collaborators. In the past couple of years she's worked with companies like Coach, Betsey Johnston, JC Penney, Ralph Lauren and Estee Lauder, among others. So today, after lunch, I put her on camera to talk blogging, her first ever website and how cringe inducing it is to have to tell people that we're fulltime bloggers. Check it out, and be assured that next time, lunch's on me.

I LIKE YOU!

I've followed Gala for years and watched her go from little Kiwi blogger based in Melbourne to massive Kiwi blogger based in New York - she's amazing!

REALLY good hearing that Gala (and you Isaac) find telling people you're a blogger a bit cringey. I do too.

Writer it is.

For the record, I pretty much always tell people that I'm a full time blogger. I thoroughly enjoy watching their reactions.
