For the past five or so years, I've been on the hunt for the perfect woolen sweater. Nothing beats the unique charm of one hand knitted by your Mum, but some of us have mothers who are more interested in spending all their free time with their daughter in Auckland instead of coming to visit their son in New York City, and/or sending him care packages filled with woolen goodies to remind him that he is loved. Don't worry about it, Mum, I'm sure Rebeccah enjoys all the attention. Where were we? Ah yes, sweaters. I did a comprehensive Google search about six months ago to find stores/little old ladies you could go-to to get things knitted here in New York, and the only places I found were either closed down or ladies who never returned my calls, so I gave up. But then I discovered this Norwegian company named Berg&Berg who get all their knitwear made in Scotland, and it made me feel slightly less resentful towards my sister. Oh happy days! Check the colours and the sturdy texture and the perfectly shaped crewneck! I'm going to get the rusty orange one. More shots, below.
I LIKE YOU!
