You could just about publish a fanzine with all the blog posts I’ve written about how much I love Justin Wu‘s work. From where I sit, he’s the first person in years to bring lighthearted fun back to fashion – his all-singing, all-dancing model videos are a celebration, plain and simple. For the past week or so, I’ve been trailing Justin around as he shoots his latest offering, and I’ve witnessed him directing some next level heavy-hitters. The video launches this Thursday night (to coincide with Fashion’s Night Out), and it’s going to be huge. You wait and see. IClick to Continue!

Fashion filmmaker, photographer, Canadian and all around nice guy Justin Wu has done it again, teaming up with streetstyle sharp shooter (and fellow Canadian) Tommy Ton to create another one of his fantastical all singing, all dancing, behind-the-scenes-at-fashion-week video sensations. Set to the tune of The Dandy Warhols’ Bohemian Like You, and featuring just about every male model under the sun – from Mark Cox to Robbie Wadge, Francisco Lachowski to David Gandy and Adrian Bosch to Simon Nessman – I’d advise you to crank up the volume, jump out of your seat and join the festivities. Start counting down the days, people: the tour de force that is Justin Wu (with a little help from his troop of all singing, all dancing models) is about to unleash a brand new short film on the world. This time around the vibe is classic rock’n’roll, and due to multi-billion dollar non-disclosure agreements, I can’t say anything more than that. What I can reveal is that the new film was shot over the course of the Milan/Paris menswear shows: backstage, on the catwalk, behind the scenes, all over town, in studios and on aeroplanes. Mr Justin Wu was kindClick to Continue!
How was Christmas everybody? Mine was swell. I spent a week in Diamond Harbour playing Bananagrams with the family, received some lovely gifts including ceramic mugs a la Labour and Wait (it turns out you can buy them from any good camping store), and flew out from Christchurch 10 minutes before yesterday’s major earthquake struck. (According to news reports, nobody was injured.) In honour of the holiday season, Justin Wu rallied the good looking troops to film a Christmas video special to the tune of Jingle Bell Rocks. You’ll spy some familiar faces in the mix, including Ethan James, DouglasClick to Continue!
Justin Wu has done it again. Only this time, he’s gone bigger and better with his video/lipsynching mashups: behind the scenes at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Featuring everyone from Magdalena Frackowiak and Lily Donaldson to Chanel Iman, Liu Wen, Alessandro Ambrosio and even Derek Blasberg, Wu’s video takes VS to a whole, ‘nutha, level. Set to the tune of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, it’s his best work yet. What else can I say? The guy’s a genius. I LIKE YOU!Click to Continue!
